NTT DATA Corporation

NTT DATA Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as NTT DATA) has started providing the 'Subsidy Support Service - Subsidy Partner -' for financial institutions from September 17, 2024.
The Subsidy Support Service is an online service that efficiently visualizes the areas for improvement towards the optimal subsidy proposals to customer companies by financial institutions based on corporate data held by financial institutions, and automatic analysis of compatibility with subsidy requirements. It provides two functions: the 'Sales Support Tool' used by financial institution representatives when proposing subsidies to companies and the 'Portal Integration Service' used by companies in collaboration with the financial institution's portal site.
In a demonstration experiment of the 'Sales Support Tool' conducted with Shimada Kakegawa Shinkin Bank from 2023, the business hours required for traditional subsidy proposal preparation were reduced by approximately 50% through the utilization of this feature.
As of September 2024, two financial institutions have commenced using the 'Sales Support Tool' (Shimada Kakegawa Shinkin Bank, AIO Shinkin Bank).
NTT DATA will continue to expand its online service offerings targeting financial institutions that actively support small and medium-sized enterprises to contribute to solving the challenges faced by SMEs and revitalizing regional economies.

Background

One of the management challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises that support the foundation of the Japanese economy is "funding procurement". Obtaining the necessary funds for business expansion, new business startups, and management stabilization at the most appropriate timing and means for small and medium-sized enterprises leads to the revitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises and sustainable development of regional economies.

In financial institutions that support small and medium-sized enterprises, proposing timely funding procurement methods such as subsidy utilization and loans to small and medium-sized enterprise customers can lead to improved customer satisfaction and increased revenue from loans and fees.
On the other hand, financial institutions that actively support small and medium-sized enterprises have been implementing information provision on subsidies and assistance with applications. However, due to the large number of subsidy and grant programs, as well as the specialized knowledge required for understanding subsidy requirements, the experience and skills of personnel is necessary, resulting in human resource burdens.

NTT Data aims to streamline the efficiency of personnel by automatically analyzing the compatibility of subsidy requirements based on corporate data, and has been studying the technical verification and practical application of subsidy support services since 2023 in cooperation with Shimada Kakegawa Shinkin Bank, in order to realize a mechanism where the support staff does not increase even with an increase in subsidy support workload. In the technical verification, the business hours traditionally spent on preparing subsidy proposals have been reduced by approximately 50% by utilizing the "sales support tool" function of the subsidy support service.

Service Scope of Offer

The subsidy support service is an online service specialized in subsidy support tasks for financial institutions such as banks and credit unions. It offers two services: the "sales support tool" used by financial institution personnel when proposing subsidies to companies, and the "portal linkage service" used by companies in conjunction with the portal sites operated by financial institutions, allowing users to freely select based on their challenges and usage scenarios.

(1) Sales Support Tool

This is a sales support tool for financial institution personnel to propose subsidy utilization to companies.
By combining corporate data with subsidy requirements, financial institutions can create a customer list that matches the subsidies they want to promote (hereinafter referred to as Promotion Subsidies Note 1), and prioritize subsidy proposals to companies that are assumed to have a high intention to use subsidies.
When making proposals from financial institutions to companies, visualizing the compliance status of essential and scoring items of the subsidies allows for a clear explanation of the points to be improved for future subsidy applications. In addition, by searching and providing information on various subsidies from government agencies, 47 prefectures, and municipalities on the spot, apart from the Promotion Subsidies, it also contributes to strengthening relationships with companies under consideration. Furthermore, it is also possible to connect to external consultants (certified support institutions and professionals) Note 2 to support applications for various subsidies and grants.

(2) Portal Linkage Service

This is a portal linkage function that companies can directly use through linkage with the portal site operated by financial institutions.
Through the corporate portal, companies can search for various subsidies, simulate the suitability with subsidy requirements, and apply for subsidy application support to financial institutions Note 2. Financial institution staff can effectively and efficiently promote subsidy proposals by approaching companies with subsidy utilization intentions triggered by subsidy application support requests from companies. It is also possible to connect to external consultants (certified support institutions and professionals) Note 2 to support applications for various subsidies and grants.

Commencement of service provision to financial institutions

From September 17, 2024, we have started providing the 'Business Support Tool' function for subsidy support services to Shimada Kakegawa Shinkin Bank and AIO Shinkin Bank. In the future, we will continue to promote the provision of subsidy support services to financial institutions such as banks and credit unions.

About future development

NTT DATA will discuss with financial institutions the promotion of subsidy utilization proposals for small and medium-sized enterprises by financial institution officials, as well as the provision of beneficial subsidy information to small and medium-sized enterprises through this service in collaboration with the portal sites operated by financial institutions. They also plan to expand the service area of data-driven small and medium-sized enterprise support utilizing corporate data.
In the future, we will actively promote the expansion of related functions for subsidy application and business performance reporting, as well as the provision of new services such as business matching and management consulting. Through these initiatives, we aim to contribute to solving social issues such as revitalizing small and medium-sized enterprises and sustainable development of regional economies.
