They will rely on the climate digital twin cloud platform Earth-2 launched by Nvidia, which aims to help scientists and researchers better understand and predict the impact of climate change by using high-precision simulation and visualization technology, thereby reducing economic losses caused by extreme weather.
The statement indicates that the climate technology laboratory "will serve as a research and development center to drive both companies' commitment to environmental sustainability," and will also "mobilize the creation of tailored climate and weather solutions utilizing over 100PB of geophysical data assets."
Nvidia, a chip manufacturer at the center of the artificial intelligence spending frenzy, has been accelerating the development of new products while expanding its business scope.
