SSF Expansion Unaffected By Seasonal Sales Pattern

Business Today ·  Sep 20 14:43

SSF Home Group Berhad (SSF), a retailer in furniture, home décor and home living products, continues its expansion strategy despite an over-35% decline in its latest quarterly revenue.

For the quarter ended July 31, 2024 (Q1 FY2024/25) the group recorded RM32m in revenue, down 36.8% if compared to the preceding quarter (Q4 FY2023/24) where the operations brought in RM50.6m.

According to the group's statement, this decline was mainly caused by softer consumer demand following the end of seasonal peaks, which included key sales periods such as Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

SSF's operational resilience will drive its implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at expanding its retail presence and achieving long-term growth.

This month, SSF added another key milestone to its expansion with the opening of its new outlet in Danga Utama, Johor Bahru. This addition has pushed the group's total number of outlets to 43 nationwide.
