On the 17th, Seiko Epson Corporation <6834> announced that it has been certified as a "childcare support company" by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare's "Kurumin" as of September 4.
"Kurumin certification" is based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children, and companies that have formulated a general employer action plan, achieved the goals set forth in the plan, and met certain criteria can apply for certification as a "childcare support company," which is then recognized by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. The company's past initiatives and the utilization record of the childcare support system by male employees were evaluated, leading to the acquisition of the "Kurumin certification" as a childcare support company from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
