The team responsible for installing new electric vehicle chargers and charging stations at Tesla (TSLA.US) underwent a large-scale downsizing in April, resulting in a slowdown in the expansion speed of the company's Supercharger network in recent months.
Tesla has been making efforts to rebuild the team, including rehiring some of the previously laid-off employees. However, according to data from electric vehicle analysis company EVAdoption, the number of new Supercharger stations opened from May to August decreased by 28% compared to the same period last year.
Data shows that in the first eight months of this year, the number of newly activated Supercharger stations decreased by 11% compared to 2023.
