Carl Icahn, a radical investor known as the "corporate sniper", expressed his delight on Monday at the federal judge's dismissal of the lawsuit accusing him of deceiving shareholders of his investment company, Icahn Enterprises (IEP.US)
The lawsuit was filed after Hindenburg Research, a short-selling company, released a report in May 2023 questioning whether Icahn's company artificially raised its stock price by paying excessive dividends to shareholders, allowing Icahn to borrow money. In the ruling, the judge stated that Icahn Enterprises fully disclosed the risks to shareholders.
