Singapore, 13 September 2024 – Singtel today unveiled its revamped TV offerings simplifying the way customers consume content with a smaller, sleeker TV box as well as refreshed content bundles designed to give customers greater flexibility, savings and choice. With the new Singtel TV box, customers can subscribe to a wide range of content options, from linear TV to over-the-top (OTT) apps, as well as record their favourite shows via a single platform.

Singtel's GOMO 5G mobile plans, which deliver high quality network performance at low prices, have also been given a boost. To better cater to the evolving digital and travel needs of consumers, the latest plans include bigger data bundles and monthly data roaming to more destinations.

"These are just one of many enhancements we've been making to our products and services in line with our renewed focus on customer-centricity."

CEO, Business Development

"Today's consumer is faced with so many content choices which can be great, but it can also be challenging to navigate multiple providers and platforms - especially when trying to locate your favourite movie or TV series. By refreshing our TV platform to streamline multiple sources of content and offering simpler content subscriptions, we've made it easier for our customers to choose what they want to watch and have oversight over all their options to better plan when they want to consume their content," said Ms Anna Yip, Deputy CEO, Singtel Singapore and CEO, Business Development.

She added, "Considering many of our customers are consuming content on the go, we wanted to make sure that our GOMO 5G plans support their consumption habits, even when they travel. That's why our revamped plans now include more data as well as data roaming to additional destinations so they can continue to enjoy their digital lifestyle wherever they are. These are just one of many enhancements we've been making to our products and services in line with our renewed focus on customer-centricity."

Transforming the entertainment experience at home

New and improved viewing platform: Singtel's latest TV box is compact, fits the palm of one's hands and features a brand-new interface that integrates free-to-air channels, PayTV and popular OTT video streaming apps into a single platform. It also includes a Singtel TV Channel Store, through which customers can subscribe to standalone apps like Viu Premium or beIN SPORTS CONNECT. The aggregation of content makes it easier for customers to pick and choose what they want to watch. The platform also includes cloud recording capabilities, so customers can save their favourite shows to watch anytime they desire.

More choices and savings with expanded entertainment options: Singtel has also redesigned its TV packs to give customers flexibility to combine their preferred PayTV genres and OTT apps. The new simplified TV packs start from as low as $9.98/month and customers who opt for multiple packs or add on their family's entertainment needs in one subscription can enjoy additional discounts.

Subscribers of the new Singtel TV box and TV packs will receive complimentary access to CAST, on one device of their choice, to stream their TV packs anytime, anywhere.

New on-demand Chinese drama and entertainment channel: Singtel has also bolstered its ethnic content with the launch of 剧乐酷 (Ju Le Cool), as part of the revamped TV offerings. Featuring a specially curated slate of top shows from major production houses in China, customers can catch new releases within 48 hours after they premiere. With an expansive catalogue of over 150 titles, 剧乐酷 (Ju Le Cool) reduces the need for multiple streaming platforms.
