- Further strengthening the promotion of women's participation and support for work-life balance -

Unicharm Co., Ltd. (Representative Director, President & Executive Officer: Goh Koyanagi) is pleased to announce that it has endorsed the 'Hime-Boss Declaration' promoted by Ehime Prefecture and has been certified as a 'Hime-Boss Declaration Office' to support the promotion of women's participation and the balance between work and family life.

What is the 'Hime-Boss Declaration Office' certification system?

The certification system by Ehime Prefecture to certify companies within the prefecture (including headquarters and other office locations) that actively promote women's participation and work-life balance. The aim of this certification system is to support each company's efforts and increase the number of attractive workplaces in Ehime Prefecture, promoting an environment where all residents can easily raise children and live with peace of mind.

About efforts to improve the employment environment.

In order to create a work environment in which all employees can work comfortably and enable each employee to fully demonstrate their abilities, we have developed the following action plan:

Improvement Activity 1: Promotion of male employees' participation in child-rearing

100% of male employees taking childcare leave. (Target year 2027)

(In fiscal year 2023, the actual rate of male employees taking childcare leave was 95%)

Ensure that the average number of days of childcare leave taken by employees is more than 14 days.

Have at least two employees who take childcare leave for more than one month within a year.

Implement measures such as assigning tasks and creating a supportive environment that make it easier to take childcare leave.

Improvement Activity 2: Improvement of the proportion of female managers

The current proportion of female managers is 18% or more. (Target year 2027)

Strengthening support for career development while supporting the balance between work and home, promoting the cultivation of workplace culture and the establishment of various measures.
