One Perimeter Solutions Insider Raised Stake By 17% In Previous Year

Simply Wall St ·  Sep 13 21:34

Insiders were net buyers of Perimeter Solutions, SA's (NYSE:PRM ) stock during the past year. That is, insiders bought more stock than they sold.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on what the directors of a company have been doing, we do think it is perfectly logical to keep tabs on what insiders are doing.

Perimeter Solutions Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Independent Director Jorge Valladares bought US$300k worth of shares at a price of US$7.15 per share. Although we like to see insider buying, we note that this large purchase was at significantly below the recent price of US$11.72. Because the shares were purchased at a lower price, this particular buy doesn't tell us much about how insiders feel about the current share price.

Does Perimeter Solutions Boast High Insider Ownership?

Looking at the total insider shareholdings in a company can help to inform your view of whether they are well aligned with common shareholders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Insiders own 5.6% of Perimeter Solutions shares, worth about US$90m. This level of insider ownership is good but just short of being particularly stand-out. It certainly does suggest a reasonable degree of alignment.
