SG Holdings Group's Sagawa Express Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") has signed a "Comprehensive Collaboration Agreement for Regional Revitalization" with Tokushima Prefecture (Governor: Masazumi Gotoda) to enhance citizen services and revitalize the region. We held a signing ceremony at the Tokushima Prefectural Office on September 12, and would like to announce it.

1. Background

As a company responsible for logistics, which is one of the social infrastructures, we actively utilize our resources and expertise to contribute to the revitalization of the regional economy and the realization of a sustainable society. As part of this effort, we are expanding the "SAGAWA Town Support*1," in collaboration with the government and municipalities, to address regional issues.
Under the name of SAGAWA Town Support, we promote "no shopping baggage tourism" for the convenience of tourists and business travelers, as well as the mixed transportation of passengers and goods that is expected to have effects on the maintenance of transportation infrastructure, logistics efficiency, and reduction of environmental impact. We also engage in activities that contribute to the safety and security of the region, such as monitoring activities for children and the elderly, and providing transportation support for supplies during disasters.
With the conclusion of this agreement, the Company will work to create a variety of services, aim for sustainable and comfortable communities and regional revitalization by effectively utilizing both parties' resources and expertise, and tackle and improve social issues.

Let me introduce you to the relationship between SG Holdings Group, including our company, and Tokushima Prefecture.
Our company and Sagawa Forestry*2 own and manage the company-owned forest called 'Sagawa no Mori' in Tokushima Prefecture for environmental conservation.
We are promoting the forest cycle of 'planting->growing->harvesting->utilizing' to smoothly circulate and connect rich forests to the future. Some of the harvested timber is used in our company's offices and group company facilities to maintain the circulation of the forest cycle.
