JD.com has raised salaries again!

On September 13th, JD.com officially announced that JD Group has launched another salary increase:

Starting from October 1st, 2024, JD Retail Group and functional systems will take two years to achieve a 20-month salary, and other departments will also launch salary increase plans subsequently.

Today, JD's stock price on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange opened high and rose nearly 1% during trading, up 0.96% as of press time, at HKD 105.4 per share.

Over the past three years, JD Group has continuously improved employee compensation levels:

From July 1st, 2021 to July 1st, 2023, JD gradually increased the average annual salary of employees from 14 months to 16 months within two years.

Starting from January 1st, 2024, the annual fixed salary of front-line business personnel such as purchasing and sales at JD will increase by nearly 100%. In early 2024, the average salary increase for all employees at JD Retail will not be less than 20%.

Starting from February 1st, 2024, more than 0.02 million front-line customer service employees at JD will see an average annual salary increase of over 30%.

Starting from July 1, 2024, after a year and a half, jd.com's annual fixed salary for procurement and sales will be increased from 16 salaries to 20 salaries, with no cap on performance incentives.

In August 2024, jd.com launched its global campus recruitment for 2025, offering 0.018 million positions and significantly increasing the salary for campus recruits.

On September 2nd, jd.com announced a comprehensive salary increase for the 2025 campus recruitment positions.

Among them, the salaries for core positions such as procurement, sales, technology, and product will be increased by no less than 20%. All campus recruits for the 'JD.com Procurement and Sales' department will have a salary structure equivalent to 20 months of income per year, with an annual bonus of up to 8 times the monthly salary. In addition, there is a 'no upper limit' incentive for 'Big Bosses'. For research and development positions, the average starting salary for algorithm positions will increase by over 75%. The starting salary for hardware and design positions will increase by over 50%.

In addition to salaries, JD.com continues to invest in the long-term development and welfare of campus recruits. JD.com advocates for utilizing the strengths of individuals and boldly promoting young talent. Starting from 2023, JD.com has launched a cross-level promotion program for outstanding young talent. Starting from 2024, JD.com has established a 'Three-Year Growth Plan' for campus recruits, which helps them transition into the workplace, achieve professional growth, and become outstanding business professionals. In April 2024, JD.com officially opened a global training base covering an area of 0.11 million square meters, capable of accommodating over 2,000 people, providing young talent with a top-notch learning and growth platform. The first phase of the 'JD.com Youth City' project has been completed and after its completion in 2027, it will provide nearly 4,000 fully furnished apartments for campus recruits.

On August 15th, JD.com Group released its 2024 second quarter performance report. JD.com stated that the number of active users and shopping frequency continued to grow by double digits, driving a substantial increase in second quarter performance. The net income attributable to ordinary shareholders of the company increased from 6.6 billion yuan in the second quarter of 2023 to 12.6 billion yuan in the second quarter of 2024. Based on non-US GAAP, the net income attributable to ordinary shareholders of the company reached 14.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 69%, and the net income margin exceeded 5% for the first time, significantly exceeding market expectations.
