According to Zhitong Finance App News, Peiran Environmental Protection (08320) announced that on September 9, 2024, the company signed a non-legally binding memorandum of understanding with Hong Kong China Gas Co., Ltd. (Towngas Company) on certain sustainable development and green energy business cooperation. Based on this, the company and Towngas have agreed in principle to establish a joint venture to combine the technology, experience, expertise, efforts and resources of both parties to develop a number of sustainable development, climate change and green energy-related businesses.

In the first phase of development cooperation, the proposed joint venture will be mainly engaged in the following four business segments: sustainability and environmental consultancy services; green building certification consulting services; green project and industrial park development, operation, management and financing services; and super contact services.

According to the announcement, the Group believes that the joint venture established by Towngas Company and the Group can combine their respective technologies, experience, expertise, efforts and resources in a number of sustainable development, climate change and green energy-related businesses.
