The Government Statistics Department survey showed that the current trend index for SME income fell from 41.8 in July in the contraction zone to 41.3 in August, while the outlook for business income for the next month (September) was 45.4.
According to industry analysis, the business income movement index for some of the sectors covered by the survey is now down compared to the previous month in August, especially the logistics sector
(down from 40.3 to 35.9) and import and export trade (down from 45.1 to 42.3). On the other hand, the business income index in the catering, retail and commercial services sectors is now higher than in August compared to the previous month.
The current moving index for new orders in the import and export trade sector fell from 44.8 in July to 43.4 in August, and the outlook for new orders for the coming month is 46.4.
The overall business climate for SMEs weakened slightly in August, but the situation was different for individual industries, a government spokesman said. SME's overall expectations for the business situation in the coming month remain stable. The overall employment situation improved.
