After the opening, the decline widened and the psychological level of 36,000 yen was breached, and it remained at around 500,000 yen for about a month during trading hours. Concerns about an economic downturn in the United States are worsening investor sentiment in Japan, and the appreciation of the yen is also weighing on the market.

The top contributors to the decline were TEC＜8035＞ in the East and First Retail＜9983＞ in second place, which pushed down the Nikkei average by about 235 yen with two stocks. The top decliner among the constituents of the Nikkei average was Laser Tech＜6920＞, down 7.57%, with Renesas＜6723＞ in second place, down 6.68%.

On the other hand, the top contributors to the increase were Konami G＜9766＞ in first place and 7 & iHD＜3382＞ in second place, which pushed up the Nikkei average by about 14 yen with two stocks. The top gainer among the constituents of the Nikkei average was Mercari＜4385＞, up 2.86%, with 7 & iHD in second place, up 2.62%.
