haitong sec (08637.HK) announced that the company has signed a cooperation agreement with gtja (02611.HK), to carry out the merger through absorption and exchange of shares. gtja will issue shares to the company's A-share and H-share holders, as well as allocate new A-shares to raise funds.

Trading of haitong sec and gtja shares will be suspended from September 6th (Friday) until the release of insider information in accordance with the "Code on Takeovers and Mergers".
