Tyler in the News

Tyler has been making headlines in media outlets from California to Maine this summer. Here are a few articles to highlight recent corporate news and successful product implementations:

  • Tyler recently announced two building openings to support its products and people. It opened a manufacturing facility in Kingston Springs, Tennessee, to support the growth of its Enterprise Corrections software, including administration, financial management, communications, and re-entry solutions. You can read more about the facility and see photos in this article(opens in a new window) from FOX 17 in Nashville. Heading north to Orono, Maine, Tyler announced the opening of a new office, which is expected to accommodate approximately 75 team members. The expansion allows for greater collaboration between Tyler and the University of Maine in Orono. NewsCenter Maine covered the ribbon-cutting ceremony here(opens in a new window).
  • In August, the California Department of Parks and Recreation's reservation system received a new boost(opens in a new window), thanks to its go-live with Tyler's software. The department's new centralized web portal for accessing its public lands will digitize the trip-planning experience. Soon, visitors will be able to pre-pay for specific parking spots, reserve fire rings at beaches, and book picnic areas, all from one unified system.
  • At Holyoke Public Schools in Springfield, Massachusetts, parents, students, bus drivers, and school administrators will benefit from a new school bus tracking app this fall. Tyler's My Ride K-12 allows parents to see bus information, real-time pick up and drop off details, driver information and more from a convenient app. In addition, bus drivers will have tablets equipped on their buses to navigate bus routes efficiently. See how it all works in this clip from Western Mass News(opens in a new window).

Tyler CFO Brian Miller comments on our clients' recent digital transformations.

Since committing to our cloud-first strategy in 2019, we've been intently focused on supporting our public sector clients' digital transformation and guiding their migration to Tyler's next-generation cloud applications. We are tracking well against our cloud transformation strategy with the rising pace of cloud adoption in our new business mix and on-premises migrations reflective of a notable shift in client openness to embrace cloud technology. Clients are increasingly recognizing cloud benefits, including an enhanced client experience, improved implementations, a more streamlined upgrade delivery process, and enhanced security.

This shift is especially apparent in the public safety market, where 90% of second quarter public safety contract value was SaaS compared to 13% a year ago. During the second quarter, we added the Idaho State Police as a new SaaS client to our growing roster of state public safety agencies, with six state police agencies now adopting our Enterprise Public Safety solutions.

We also had a very successful go-live in May with the SaaS migration of the Idaho State Court system. This was our first flip to the cloud of a statewide court system and went live in just four months from the initial project kick off. This high-profile migration and successful execution is certainly a positive reference point as we engage with other statewide and large county courts clients about moving to the cloud.
