Typhoon signal no. 3 is still in effect in Macau. The Macao Meteorological Bureau expects that due to the impact of the super typhoon 'Makya', it will consider changing to typhoon signal no. 8 from 8pm to 11pm tonight (5th). In addition, the blue storm surge warning was issued at 11 am this morning, with a moderate chance of changing to a yellow storm surge warning tonight to tomorrow morning.
The Macao Meteorological Bureau predicts that the wind force in Macau will strengthen, and thunderstorms will become more frequent. At 11 am, the super typhoon 'Makya' was centered about 400 kilometers southeast of Macau, moving westward at about 12 kilometers per hour, generally towards the Leizhou Peninsula to hainan Island. The Bureau stated that according to the current forecasted path, 'Makya' will pass about 300 kilometers south of Macau tomorrow. Due to the extensive circulation of 'Makya', at that time the wind force in Macau will significantly and rapidly increase, with frequent heavy rain and thunderstorms.
