The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has reached the halfway point in a trial where it is trying to convince an Oregon federal judge to grant an injunction that would prevent two of the largest grocers —The Kroger Co.(NYSE:KR) andAlberstons Companies, Inc.(NYSE:ACI) — from carrying out a $25 billion merger.
