The number of luxury hotel construction projects in the Asia-Pacific region has accounted for half of Hilton's global luxury hotel construction projects.

Singapore, September 4, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Hilton Group announced today that its luxury hotel business in the Asia-Pacific region is entering a rapid development phase. It is expected that in the next few years, the number of luxury hotels under its brand will exceed 150, doubling from the end of 2023. In addition to the continuous development of Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts, Conrad Hotels and Resorts, and LXR Hotels and Resorts branded hotels, Hilton Group has established an exclusive partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a global luxury boutique hotel alliance, to add more independent boutique hotels to its luxury hotel business in the Asia-Pacific region, making its existing luxury hotel business even more diverse and vibrant.

The '2024 Trend Report' also shows that 77% of respondents from China, India, Japan, and Singapore wish to better understand local traditions through travel; 75% of the respondents want to learn more about other Asian cultures; while 88% of the respondents explicitly state that exploring authentic local cuisine is most important to them.
