Trump posted on social media platform on Thursday (August 29th), but did not reveal any details. "This afternoon, I will showcase my plan to ensure that the United States becomes the global capital of cryptos," Trump said in the video.

The video he shared also included a link to a decentralized finance project called World Liberty Financial, which his sons have recently promoted.

Although few details have been disclosed, the metadata of the website describes the project as a "cutting-edge" DeFi platform that connects users with the "best and safest high-yield crypto investment tools" in decentralized finance.

Trump's views on cryptos have made a 180-degree turnaround, as he once considered them to be rampant fraud during his presidency.

Supporters argue that regulatory crackdown on cryptos has made the United States less suitable for building DeFi projects. The setup of the project driven by Eric and Donald Trump Jr. is still unclear. World Liberty Financial has launched a channel on the social media platform Telegram, with over 52,000 subscribers. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov was charged with conspiracy to distribute child pornography and other crimes in France this week.
