Trump said in an interview with former Navy SEAL Shawn Ryan, "Musk wants to get involved. It is well known that he runs multiple large companies, so honestly, I don't think he can enter the cabinet." "I would definitely let him into the cabinet, but I don't know how he can do it with so many affairs."

If Trump defeats Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in the November election, his remarks may lead him to withdraw from the alliance formed with Musk.

Trump said, "He can negotiate with the nation, like people say, and give you some very good ideas." He used artificial intelligence as an example to illustrate where Musk can provide assistance.

Just two years ago, Trump and Musk were openly hostile to each other, insulting each other on social media and at public forums and political rallies. But as Musk further entered right-wing politics, they became allies in this election. Last month, shortly after former President Trump was assassinated, Musk publicly supported Trump.

Prior to this, Musk assisted in the formation of a super PAC that supported Trump in May. Both have expressed a desire to co-govern if the former president wins a second term.
