Don't Ignore The Insider Selling In PLBY Group

Simply Wall St ·  Aug 24 20:47

We'd be surprised if PLBY Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLBY) shareholders haven't noticed that the CEO, President & Director, Ben Kohn, recently sold US$127k worth of stock at US$0.58 per share. That sale was 11% of their holding, so it does make us raise an eyebrow.

PLBY Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

In fact, the recent sale by Ben Kohn was the biggest sale of PLBY Group shares made by an insider individual in the last twelve months, according to our records. So what is clear is that an insider saw fit to sell at around the current price of US$0.59. While we don't usually like to see insider selling, it's more concerning if the sales take place at a lower price. In this case, the big sale took place at around the current price, so it's not too bad (but it's still not a positive).

Insiders sold stock recently, but they haven't been buying. And even if we look at the last year, we didn't see any purchases. Insiders own relatively few shares in the company, and when you consider the sales, we're not particularly excited about the stock. So we'd only buy after very careful consideration.
