Peloton Interactive (PTON), which operates a home fitness business, saw its sales and profits for the second quarter exceed expectations due to successful business restructuring measures. Zoom (ZM), a provider of online meeting platforms, raised its earnings outlook for the quarter based on strong sales of new products. Crocs (CROX), a shoe manufacturer, rose due to expectations of increased sales through collaborations with popular actors. On the other hand, Urban Outfitters (URBN), a casual clothing retailer, saw its same-store sales fall below expectations in its quarterly earnings report, causing a decline. Williams-Sonoma (WSM), a retailer of kitchenware and furniture, also fell after its quarterly earnings report due to a downward revision in its full-year outlook.

Software maker Intuit (INTU) announced its earnings after the market closed. Adjusted earnings per share exceeded expectations, and the company also raised its dividend, which was well received in after-hours trading. Ross Stores (ROST), a discount apparel and home decor brand store operator, also rose based on positive earnings results.
