Yesterday evening, Baiguoyuan released its interim performance report. The financial report shows that the company achieved a revenue of 5.594 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 11.1%; the net income attributable to owners was 88.506 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 66.1%.

The financial report shows that in the first half of the year, fruit and other food sales revenue from franchise stores accounted for 71.72%, with a revenue of 4.012 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 15.22%. As of the end of June, there were 6011 franchise stores, a net decrease of 70 compared to the end of 2023. In the first half of the year, the average semi-annual revenue of each franchise store supervised by the group was 0.9 million yuan, a decrease of approximately 13.7% compared to the same period last year.

Lai Xianyang also mentioned that measures will be taken in the second half of the year to address the decline in customer traffic: firstly, ensuring consistency of online and offline product quality by focusing on freshness and quality control standards; secondly, strengthening product assortment, improving price ranges, enriching SKUs to meet more customer demands, and increasing conversion rates; thirdly, implementing online and offline integrated marketing to enhance brand exposure and drive online customer traffic to stores.

As a representative of high-end fruit retail, facing the increase in customer rationality, Jiao Yue, the Executive Deputy General Manager of the group, mentioned at the earnings conference that in the second half of this year, it will particularly emphasize quality and cost-effectiveness.

"We will optimize category management, concentrate resources on promoting signature fruit, enhance the brand awareness of signature fruit, and create popular categories with absolute cost-effectiveness to attract more customer traffic," said Jiao Yue.

He also stated that currently, the group has expanded the price range and enriched the variety to match the surrounding communities and business districts of all stores, thereby further assisting stores in expanding their user base. At the same time, the group will continue to optimize the cost structure, enhance the scale effect of individual products, and provide franchisees with sufficient profit space.
