Quarterly, India's manufacturing PMI for August fell to 57.9 from a preliminary value of 58.1 to 57.9, a three-month low, and the manufacturing PMI output index preliminary value fell to 60.9 from a preliminary value of 61.7, according to HSB/S&P Global.

In the same month, India's services sector PMI rose slightly to 60.4 from a preliminary value of 60.3 microns. The composite PMI preliminary reading decreased slightly to 60.5 in August from 60.7 in July.
