According to the official Weibo announcement from WPS on August 21st, after emergency repairs by engineers, WPS services have been restored. As compensation, all users can claim a free 15-day membership from 0:00 to 24:00 on August 22nd.

Today, many WPS users have reported software issues, causing 'WPS Crashed' to trend on Weibo again after a two-month absence.

According to the financial report for the first half of 2024 released by Beijing Kingsoft Office Software, Inc, the company achieved a revenue of 2.413 billion yuan, an 11.09% year-on-year growth, and a net income of 0.721 billion yuan, a 20.38% year-on-year growth. Looking at the quarterly performance, the company experienced a slight decline in both Q2 revenue and net income compared to Q1.

In terms of business segments, domestic personal office service subscriptions remain the core revenue source and growth driver for Beijing Kingsoft Office Software, Inc, achieving a revenue of 1.53 billion yuan, a 22.17% year-on-year growth in the first half of the year. Domestic institutional subscription and service business revenue reached 0.443 billion yuan, a 5.95% year-on-year growth.

It is worth noting that Beijing Kingsoft Office Software, Inc announced a full-scale entry into the B-end market in April of this year. However, the growth of institutional subscription business in the first half of the year showed varying degrees of decline compared to previous periods. The revenue from domestic institutional subscription services increased by 13.57% in the first quarter of this year, with an overall increase of 38.36% for this type of income for the full year 2023.
