On the news front, on August 16, the Hang Seng Index Company announced the latest quarterly review results, in which Cosmopol Int'l was removed from the Hang Seng Composite SmallCap Index. The changes will be implemented after the close of trading on Friday, September 6, 2024, and will take effect from Monday, September 9, 2024.
Earlier in March, Cosmopol Int'l announced that it expected a loss of approximately 0.372 billion Hong Kong dollars for the year 2023, while it earned a net profit of 4 million Hong Kong dollars in 2022. This is mainly because the profit contribution from the property sales of the two development projects located in Chengdu and Tianjin under the Group during the year is not significant.
