The Yijinhuoluo Banner Public Security Bureau of Ordos City issued a "Decision of Guarantee Pending Trial" and "Notice of Prosecution Transfer" in the case of the Matiehao project accident. In response, the Yijinhuoluo Banner Public Security Bureau of Ordos City has decided to enforce guarantee pending trial on Gong Jianrui, which will last from August 15, 2024, and transfer the case to the Yijinhuoluo Banner People's Procuratorate for review and prosecution.

At present, Mr. Gong Jianrui is able to perform his duties normally, and the company's daily operations are normal with orderly progress of various work. On April 12, 2024, the company re-signed the "Total Contract for the Depth Treatment and Comprehensive Utilization of Mine Water in Matiehao Coal Mine" with the contractor Inner Mongolia Erdos Resources Coal Industry Co., Ltd. and the designer Metallurgical Engineering Technology Co., Ltd.. The contents concerning the designer, construction period, and others were re-negotiated. Currently, the Matiehao project has completed the redesign of drawings and corresponding mapping work, and is preparing to carry out construction-related preliminary procedures. All parties are working together to promote the resumption of the project.
