China Everbright Water announced on August 16 that as the leading party of a consortium, it has recently won the EPCO (design-procurement-construction-operation) project for the first phase of Jiangyin Lingang industrial wastewater treatment plant and supporting pipeline network. This project will help the Lingang Economic Development Zone to further improve its industrial wastewater treatment and recycling, and further enhance the company's strategic layout in light and heavy asset business in the field of industrial wastewater treatment.

The consortium will provide integrated services for Phase I of the Jiangyin Lingang plant from project survey, design, procurement, construction to operation. China Everbright Water will be responsible for the operation and management of the first phase of the plant, and will receive entrusted operation service fees. The operation period is 8 years. The design work of the project will be undertaken by Xuzhou Municipal Design Institute Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Everbright Water. Other members of the consortium will be responsible for survey, procurement and construction. The total value of the engineering package service contract paid to the consortium for this project is approximately RMB 0.473 billion yuan (excluding the entrusted operation service fee charged by China Everbright Water).

The designed industrial wastewater treatment capacity of the Jiangyin Lingang plant is 0.06 million cubic meters/day, and the total recycled water reuse capacity is 0.018 million cubic meters/day. The Phase I EPCO project of the Jiangyin Lingang plant will complete all the civil engineering of the plant, purchase and install the necessary equipment, and construct a supporting wastewater collection pipeline network and an ecological buffer zone tailwater wetland. After completion, the designed industrial wastewater treatment capacity of the first phase of the plant will be 0.03 million cubic meters/day, and the recycled water treatment capacity will be 9,000 cubic meters/day, and the main water quality indicators of the discharge will comply with the Class IV standard of the Environmental Quality Standards for Surface Water (GB3838-2002).
