On the 14th, Tia <2485> announced consolidated financial results for the third quarter of the 2024 fiscal year ending in September 24 (October 23-June 24). Sales revenue increased by 30.4% year-on-year to 13.912 billion yen, operating profit increased by 14.8% to 1.257 billion yen, ordinary profit decreased by 1.8% to 1.072 billion yen, and net profit for the quarter attributable to the parent company's shareholders decreased by 7.9% to 0.672 billion yen.

The funeral business's sales revenue was 13.162 billion yen, an increase of 27.7% compared to the same period last year, and operating profit was 2.607 billion yen, an increase of 36.7%. During the cumulative period of the third quarter, we worked on various hall events and sales to affiliated organizations and companies in order to expand the membership of our "Tia no Kai" at directly managed halls. In terms of the number of funeral services, the number increased by 6.4% compared to the same period last year to 11,678 due to the increase in existing stores and the operation of newly opened halls. In terms of funeral unit prices, although the unit price of flower offerings decreased, the unit price of altar sales and funeral accessories increased, resulting in a 1.2% increase. As for the situation of the two core funeral companies newly consolidated as subsidiaries, Yakou-den and related brands had 1,138 funeral services, while Tohkai-norei and related brands had 791 funeral services. Franchise business's sales revenue increased by 20.5% to 0.434 billion yen, and operating profit increased by 37.8% to 0.064 billion yen. During the cumulative third quarter period, the increase of eight FC halls compared to the same period last year increased royalty sales, and sales of goods to FC halls also increased.

For the fiscal year ending September 2024, we maintain the consolidated performance forecast revised on May 10, which predicts revenue of 18.94 billion yen (+34.6% YoY), operating profit of 1.39 billion yen (+22.5% YoY), ordinary profit of 1.18 billion yen (+4.2% YoY), and net income for the year attributable to shareholders 695 million yen (-12.0% YoY).
