NBIM was established in the 1990s with the aim of investing Norway's oil and gas revenue overseas and diversifying its layout. As of the end of June, the fund had invested in more than 8,800 companies in over 70 countries and regions, of which 72% were stock investments and about 26% were fixed-income investments. The company is scheduled to release its first-half performance this Wednesday (August 14).

Traditionally, the fund updates the content of its investment portfolio every year, and it has now been changed to twice a year.
