Huarong Int Fin (00993.HK) announced a profit, with a net profit of no less than 0.14 billion yuan for the six months ended in June, compared to a loss of 0.458 billion yuan in the same period last year. The loss attributable to equity holders of the company is between 40 million and 60 million yuan, compared to a recorded 0.659 billion yuan in the same period last year. The improvement in performance is mainly due to the reversal of impairment provisions for a loan due to an increase in fair value of collateral; and the net realized gains on financial assets measured at fair value.
