Loar Holdings Posts Upbeat Results, Joins Nvidia, Clean Energy Fuels, Penumbra And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Tuesday

U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 200 points on Tuesday.

Shares of Loar Holdings Inc. (NYSE:LOAR) rose sharply during Tuesday's session after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter GAAP EPS and sales.

Loar Holdings reported quarterly earnings of 9 cents per share which beat the analyst consensus estimate of 6 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $97.015 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $91.700 million.

Loar Holdings shares jumped 18.2% to $73.63 on Tuesday.

  • Pulse Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLSE) jumped 16.8% to $18.29. Pulse Biosciences appointed Paul LaViolette to its board of directors and reported preliminary second quarter 2024 financial results.
  • Hesai Group (NASDAQ:HSAI) surged 16.3% to $4.14.
  • Darling Ingredients Inc. (NYSE:DAR) gained 15.3% to $40.70.
  • Clean Energy Fuels Corp. (NASDAQ:CLNE) rose 14.6% to $3.2312 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly adjusted EPS results.
  • ARS Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPRY) gained 14.2% to $12.39 after Raymond James upgraded the stock from Outperform to Strong Buy and raised its price target from $18 to $22.
  • Clarivate Plc (NYSE:CLVT) gained 12% to $6.16.
  • Sea Limited (NYSE:SE) climbed 11.2% to $74.42 following mixed quarterly earnings.
  • Penumbra, Inc. (NYSE:PEN) gained 10.5% to $186.64 after the company announced a $200 million share repurchase authorization..
  • Upstart Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:UPST) gained 10.4% to $37.76.
  • Semtech Corporation (NASDAQ:SMTC) rose 9.4% to $32.93.
  • Wayfair Inc. (NYSE:W) gained 8.7% to $41.55.
  • New York Community Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE:NYCB) rose 8.5% to $10.20.
  • Elanco Animal Health Incorporated (NYSE:ELAN) gained 8.3% to $14.18.
  • Unity Software Inc. (NYSE:U) rose 7.7% to $16.38. Unity Software, last week, reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results.
  • Ascendis Pharma A/S (NASDAQ:ASND) jumped 6.6% to $136.90. Goldman Sachs analyst Paul Choi maintained Ascendis Pharma with a Buy and raised the price target from $170 to $195.
  • Carvana Co. (NYSE:CVNA) gained 6.4% to $142.11.
  • Dell Technologies Inc. (NYSE:DELL) rose 5.6% to $100.66 after Barclays upgraded the stock from Underweight to Equal-Weight.
  • NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) gained 5.3% to $114.75. Shares of semiconductor stocks traded higher amid overall market strength following softer-than-expected PPI figures.
  • Super Micro Computer, Inc. (NASDAQ:SMCI) gained 5.1% to $568.59.
