On August 13th, the three main A-share indexes fluctuated narrowly. As of midday, the Shanghai Composite Index fell by 0.07%, the Shenzhen Component Index fell by 0.27%, and the ChiNext Price Index fell by 0.07%. The total trading volume of the Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges in the morning session reached 288.8 billion yuan, a decrease of 30.2 billion yuan from the previous day. Over 2,500 stocks rose in the two markets. In terms of the stock market, oil and gas, consumer electronics, and large infrastructure concept stocks led the gains. The eco-friendly concept oscillated and rebounded, the COVID-19 drug sector corrected, and baijiu and vitamins continued to weaken. In terms of ETFs, several cross-border ETFs dominated the top gainers list. The overnight Nasdaq barely rose by 0.2%. In the latest performance, Invesco QQQ Trust and ChinaAMC CSI 300 Index ETF rose by 1.46% and 0.9%, respectively, with the latest premium rates of 10.4% and 0.06%, respectively. In the morning session, Japanese stocks rose strongly by more than 2%, with China Southern Peak TOPIX ETF, ICBC Credit Suisse Fund Management's Nikkei 225 ETF, and Huaxia Fund Management's Nikkei 225 ETF rising by 1.41%, 1.39%, and 1.33% respectively. The Hong Kong stock dividend sector continued to rise, with China Southern Asset Management's SSE Mega-Cap Dividend ETF and Invesco Central State-owned Enterprises Dividend ETF rising by 1.26% and 1.02%, respectively. International crude oil prices rose sharply, with Fullgoal Fund Management's S&P Oil & Gas ETF rising by 1%. Soybean meal futures continued to be weak, and the soybean meal ETF fell by 2.49%, with the year-to-date decrease expanding to 14%. The baijiu sector fell, and the Penghua CSI Alcoholic Drink ETF fell by 1.74%. The medical sector corrected, with the Medical Devices ETF and the Biotech ETF falling by 1.73% and 1.69%, respectively. The traditional Chinese medicine sector followed the weakness, and the Zhongtian SSE 50 ETF fell by 1.55%.
