At the close, the Shanghai Index fell 0.14%, the Shenzhen Index fell 0.24%, the GEM Index fell 0.20%, and the turnover of the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets shrunk by 67.2 billion yuan to 495.9 billion yuan. It rarely fell below the 500 billion yuan mark, hitting a new low since May 25, 2020. Over 3,600 stocks fell in both markets. On the market, the pharmaceutical sector broke out, COVID-19 specific drugs and antigen tests led the way, the energy saving and environmental protection sector strengthened, the hydrogen energy and natural gas sector changed higher in the afternoon, and the real estate, education, commercial aerospace, and automotive sectors adjusted. In terms of ETFs, the COVID-themed concept is highly sought after. Traditional Chinese medicine ETFs have been strong throughout the day. Penghua Fund's Chinese Medicine ETF and Huitianfu Fund's Chinese Medicine ETF both rose 2.7%. US stocks closed higher last Friday. Invesco Great Wall NASDAQ Technology ETF and Huaxia Fund S&P ETF rose 1.77% and 1.63% respectively. The latest spillover rates were 9.31% and 2.86%. Saudi ETFs followed the rise. Huatai Berry Fund Saudi ETF and Southern Fund Saudi ETF both rose 1.5%. The real estate sector recovered. Real estate ETF and real estate ETF funds all fell by more than 3%, the robot sector declined, and the robot 100 ETF fell 2.56%. The travel sector declined, and travel ETFs fell 2%.
