On Thursday local time, Trump and Harris have agreed to participate in the debate hosted by ABC News on September 10th.

Trump said at a news conference that he had applied for two more debates, one hosted by Fox News on September 4th and the other by NBC News on September 25th.

Democratic candidate Harris later told reporters, "I am excited about discussing additional debates, perhaps (extra) debates will take place after September 10th."

Earlier at a campaign event with the United Auto Workers union in Wayne, Michigan, Harris said,"I have openly expressed my desire to debate Trump and we have confirmed the date of September 10th."

Republican candidate Trump said at a news conference in Florida,"I think it is very important to hold debates."

Trump said that CBS News will host a vice presidential debate that will feature his running mate, Ohio Senator Pence, and Harris' running mate, Minnesota Governor Walz.

Fox News has previously agreed to host a debate between Trump and Harris on September 4th.

Sources said NBC has proposed several possible dates for the presidential debate to both campaign teams. The source said Trump's campaign team agreed to an additional debate on September 25th, but Harris' campaign team has not yet agreed.

Trump announced that he would potentially debate Harris three times, which is in stark contrast to his statement last week that he would not participate in the ABC TV debate. At that time, Trump said he planned to file a defamation lawsuit against ABC, which led to a "conflict of interest".

Since then, Harris has been mocking Trump's refusal to commit to the ABC debate. The debate on September 10th was originally scheduled for Trump and Biden, but Biden dropped out of the election last month.

Trump held a freewheeling news conference on Thursday that lasted about an hour, just as Harris and Walz's campaign momentum was rising.

Trump's campaign team has been pressuring Harris and Walz in the past few days to accept media interviews and pressuring media organizations to demand that Democrats accept interviews, while accusing Harris of avoiding reporters.

Trump said on Thursday,"She didn't do any interviews, she can't do any interviews, she has very little capability."

Since Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris to replace him last month, Harris has essentially avoided contact with reporters.

Harris and Walz started campaigning in key battleground states on Tuesday without holding press conferences.

Harris' campaign spokesman Ammar Moussa said on Thursday that Trump was "throwing a fit" because the former president did not get the "attention he craves."

Moussa said:"Trump has no vision, he has no solutions, he is running a campaign of revenge and retribution to implement his agenda for 2025 and make people's lives worse."
