He also revealed that the construction plan for the first phase of Tesla's Berlin Gigafactory is to produce 250,000 electric vehicles per year, the second phase will increase annual production to 500,000 vehicles, and the third phase will increase the plant's annual production capacity to 750,000 vehicles. To date, the company has produced approximately 360,000 vehicles a year worldwide.

Earlier, foreign media reported that Tesla plans to begin construction of its Berlin plant in the first three months of 2020, which is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2021.
Furthermore, Musk previously revealed on Twitter that Tesla will manufacture batteries, power systems, and complete vehicles at its Berlin plant (starting with Model Y production). The company plans to start producing Model Y at this plant as early as 2021.
