On August 5th, Golonhui reported that Hunan Corun New Energy (600478.SH) has taken technology optimization and research and development measures in every aspect of lithium carbonate production. For example, in the selection and smelting of lithium mines, the company has made good progress in the selection and smelting technology of tunnel and mining by relying on the National Engineering Center for Advanced Materials and cooperating with Central South University. After the industrial application of this technology, the leaching rate of lithium in lithium mica concentrate refining process is expected to increase by more than 8%. The new process is expected to reduce the slag production of every 10,000 tons of lithium carbonate by more than 50%. Secondly, the company has put forward an improved sulfuric acid method for lithium carbonate smelting process, which can greatly reduce the tailings of lithium extraction and improve the comprehensive lithium extraction rate in the production process. This technology is currently in the stage of pilot testing. The development and subsequent application of these new technologies are of great significance to the company's construction of a closed-loop lithium battery-energy storage industry chain and the realization of the recycling of lithium resources, which will support the company's cost control in the carbonate lithium business.
