On a quarterly basis, India's Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) final value for July revised downwards from 58.3 to 58.1, and poor markets expected a preliminary reading of 58.5, according to HSB/S&P Global.

Cost pressures and strong demand over the period pushed fee inflation to a near 11-year high; investment cost inflation accelerated to a nearly two-year high. Growth in new orders and output slowed only slightly. Job creation remains at a historic high.
