Hongjiu Fruit (06689) announced that the company has been informed that Mr. Deng Hongjiu, the controlling shareholder, chairman and executive director of the company, has pledged 9 million shares of the company's non-publicly traded stock, equivalent to approximately 2.38% of Mr. Deng's total direct shareholding in the company, to East West Bancorp (China) Limited (the lender) as collateral for a bank credit facility in the total amount of USD 13 million or its equivalent in RMB provided by the lender to the company.
