The Nikkei average rebounded for the first time in 9 days. The morning session ended with a trading volume of approximately 0.8 billion 30 million shares, with a gain of 748.34 yen (+1.99%) from the previous trading day to 38,415.75. On the 26th, the US stock market rose. Dow average was 654.27 dollars higher (+1.64%) to 40,589.34 dollars, NASDAQ was 176.16 points higher (+1.03%) to 17,357.88, and the S&P 500 rose 59.88 points (+1.11%) to close at 5,459.10. The market was driven by prior purchases based on good performance of major companies. After opening, the market continued to rise due to the expectation of a rate cut later in the year, as the PCE price index remained within expectations and confirmed a trend of inflation slowdown. Purchases based on expectation of a soft landing for the US economy were also conspicuous, and the market moved up steadily throughout the day. Following the rise of the US stock market, the Tokyo market opened with a buying trend. After recovering the 38,000 yen level, the Nikkei average gradually expanded its gains with material such as buybacks in the futures market, rising to 38,719.70 yen, up more than 1,000 yen from the previous trading day at one time. The exchange rate is currently around 153.20 yen to the dollar, about 50 yen higher than at the end of last week. At the time of the morning session, however, a reaction to the sharp drop at the end of last week was leading.

On the other hand, Eisai <4523> was the top contributor to the decline, and Hitachi Construction Machinery <6305> was the second, pushing down the Nikkei average by about 39 yen with two stocks. In addition, the top rising stock of Nikkei average constituent stocks was SUMCO <3436>, which rose 7.07%, followed by Furukawa Electric <5801>, which rose 6.93%.
