According to the Zhitong Finance App, CGN Power (01816) announced that the Ningde Unit 5 of Fujian Ningde No. 2 Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., the company's affiliate company, plans to pour the first concrete tank of the main nuclear reactor plant on July 28, 2024. That is, complete construction of Ningde Unit 5 will begin on that day and will enter the civil construction phase.

Ningde Unit 5 uses Hualong No. 1 nuclear power technology, and the capacity of a single unit is 1,210MW.
