On July 25th, Gelunhui announced that its REDD+ project has made significant progress, covering an impressive 615,000 hectares of concession areas. This development marks an important step towards establishing a carbon credit business.

The REDD+ project currently in its first phase of development is the cornerstone of the sustainable development strategy for natural timber, focusing on reducing emissions caused by forest logging and degradation while increasing forest carbon stocks. The project aims to generate carbon credits that can be monetized by selling them to organizations seeking to offset their greenhouse gas emissions.

The efforts of natural timber in the REDD+ project have been complemented by its partnership with PaskayS.A.C., a carbon credit standard verification and validation company based in Peru. This partnership aims to validate carbon credit projects according to Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) and Climate, Community and Biodiversity (CCB) Standards. This partnership is an important milestone in the company's efforts to generate carbon credits from its forestry assets, including 615,000 hectares of forest in Peru under concession.

The validation process under VCS and CCB standards is crucial for opening new revenue opportunities for the company. By obtaining carbon credits, the company can monetize its forestry assets by selling these credits to organizations seeking to offset their greenhouse gas emissions. This additional source of income is expected to significantly improve the company's financial performance and consolidate its position in the global forestry market.

Song Hubei, CEO of Natural Timber, commented on the progress: "We are very excited about the progress of our REDD+ project and our ongoing collaboration with PaskayS.A.C. These efforts bring us closer to realizing our goal of establishing a carbon credit business. This not only helps us achieve our environmental goals, but also creates tremendous value for our shareholders."
