According to the news from the Zhitong Finance APP, Stanchart (02888) will announce its interim results ending in the end of June next Tuesday (30th), facing challenges in the Hong Kong macro economy. Dragged down by the decrease in loan growth and the half-yearly narrowing of net interest margins, Morgan Stanley predicts that Stanchart's basic pre-tax profits in the mid-year of 2024 will be $3.72 billion, up 12.5% YoY compared to the $3.306 billion in the same period last year. The mid-term benchmark pre-tax profit is $3.4 billion, up 2.3% YoY compared to the $3.323 billion in the same period last year.
