According to media reports citing sources, after the assassination attempt, former US President Donald Trump plans to stop holding large outdoor rallies.

On July 13, Trump was shot by a man during a rally in Pennsylvania, with Trump's right ear injured but not seriously. One participant was killed and two others were seriously injured.

Insiders familiar with the workings of the Trump campaign team revealed that the team's current plan is to hold indoor rallies, but Trump may also participate in smaller outdoor events, or hold large rallies in venues with stricter entrance controls and no issues such as high terrain (e.g. sports fields).

Trump officially became the presidential candidate at this month's Republican National Convention. It is reported that Trump's team had planned to hold an outdoor event before the Republican National Convention and interact with supporters, but the plan was cancelled after the assassination attempt.

Insiders said that when rehearsing for the speech at the convention, Trump said he felt safe indoors.

Due to public dissatisfaction and questioning of security work after the assassination attempt on Trump, the director of the US Secret Service, Kimberley Auchter, resigned on Tuesday.

In an interview with the media on Tuesday night, Trump said, "I just heard she resigned, I don't think she had much choice." He added that in recent months, his campaign team has been requesting an increase in Secret Service agents during campaign events, but to no avail.

Trump also talked about the indoor rally he held in Michigan last weekend. "Do I feel safe? Yes, I have to feel safe. Otherwise, I don't think I could do these things," he said.
