Glonghui, July 24 | Canadian mining company Tektronix Resources announced second-quarter results. Revenue was 3.87 billion Canadian dollars, up nearly 10% year over year. Analysts expected 4.03 billion Canadian dollars; diluted earnings per share were 0.79 Canadian dollars, and the market expected 0.73 Canadian dollars. Copper production during the period was 110,400 tons, a year-on-year increase of 71%. Copper prices rose 15% year over year to an average of $4.42 per pound. The company lowered its annual copper production guidelines to 0.435 million to 0.5 million tonnes because “short-term traffic barriers caused by mine dehydration and local geotechnical problems” could lead to a decline in production at the Quebrada Blanca mine.
