Cintas Posts Upbeat Earnings, Joins CommScope Holding, Virtu Financial And Other Big Stocks Moving Higher On Thursday

U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining around 150 points on Thursday.

Shares of Cintas Corporation (NASDAQ:CTAS) rose during Thursday's session after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly EPS and revenues.

Cintas reported fourth-quarter earnings per share of $3.99, beating the street view of $3.80. The company registered quarterly revenues of $2.471 billion, beating the street view of $2.468 billion, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

Cintas shares gained 5.3% to $758.25 on Thursday.

  • D.R. Horton, Inc. (NYSE:DHI) shares gained 10.6% to $174.29 after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results and revised its FY24 guidance. Also, the company authorized a new $4 billion share repurchase.
  • OPKO Health, Inc. (NASDAQ:OPK) rose 8.5% to $1.54. The company announced a $100 million share repurchase program.
  • Canadian Solar Inc. (NASDAQ:CSIQ) surged 8.3% to $17.89.
  • Legend Biotech Corporation (NASDAQ:LEGN) rose 7.5% to $59.12. HC Wainwright & Co. analyst Mitchell Kapoor reiterated Legend Biotech with a Buy and maintained a $73 price target.
  • Infosys Limited (NYSE:INFY) gained 7.4% to $22.07 as the company reported first-quarter revenue growth of 2.5% in constant currency terms year-on-year to $4.71 billion, beating the analyst consensus estimate of $4.65 billion.
  • Root, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROOT) rose 7.4% to $85.29. Root is scheduled to host a conference call to discuss financial results for the second quarter on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
  • Materialise NV (NASDAQ:MTLS) jumped 7.2% to $5.85. Materialise is expected to release financial results for the second quarter on Wednesday, July 31.
  • BankUnited, Inc. (NYSE:BKU) gained 6.6% to $36.95 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results.
  • Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE:PWR) gained 6.5% to $260.95 after the company completed the acquisition of Cupertino Electric.
  • Meritage Homes Corporation (NYSE:MTH) rose 6.1% to $201.54.
  • Toll Brothers, Inc. (NYSE:TOL) rose 6% to $135.83 in sympathy with D.R. Horton, which reported better-than-expected third-quarter financial results.
  • Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc. (NASDAQ:WBD) gained 5.2% to $8.76 after the Financial Times reported that the company has discussed plans to split its digital streaming and studio businesses from its legacy television networks.
  • Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) gained 4.4% to $35.97.
