Xinyuan Enterprise Group (01748) announced that on July 16, 2024, Charterer II (HuaHua Star Ship Management (Hong Kong) Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company indirectly): (1) Signed a memorandum of agreement with Owner II (Bright Lostella Shipping Limited), under which Owner II agreed to purchase and Charterer II agreed to sell ship II, subject to the terms and conditions therein; (2) signed a bareboat charter agreement II with Owner II for ship II.
Under the bareboat charter agreement II, Charterer II leased ship II back to Owner II and has the option to purchase ship II from Owner II. If the option to purchase is not exercised, Charterer II shall assume the purchase obligation to Owner II when the lease term ends, subject to the terms and conditions therein. Ship II refers to Lotstella (IMO number 9832121).
