Goldman Sachs released a report stating that they held a team meeting with Colette Kress, the CFO of Nvidia, discussing topics including the development of generative AI models and future capital expenditure plans. Goldman Sachs confirmed their opinion at the meeting, believing that the cycle of generative AI expenditure will continue, and Nvidia will maintain its leading position through rapid innovation. They reiterated their "buy" rating (listed as a "conviction buy" in the US stock market) and set the target price at 135 US dollars for the next twelve months.
In the short term, the bank estimates that Nvidia's main cloud solution supplier customers will increase capital expenditure in the next two years. Nvidia's partners and peers, such as Taiwan Semiconductor (TSM.US) and SK Hynix, will provide constructive data to promote a new round of positive earnings revaluation, driving up the stock price. The bank believes that, in the wave of AI infrastructure spending, the company can maintain its leading position because of its strong foundation, the ability to respond to competition, better channels for supply, and the ability to respond to real-time needs of large enterprises in generative AI.
