The Tourism Bureau announced that the preliminary number of visitors to Hong Kong in June was 3.13 million, a 14% increase from the same period last year. Calculated cumulatively, there were about 21 million visitors to Hong Kong in the first half of this year, a 64% increase compared to the previous year, with a daily average of 0.116 million visitors.
The data shows that in the first half of this year, there were about 16.1 million mainland visitors to Hong Kong, a 60% increase compared to the previous year, while non-mainland visitors increased by 80% to 5 million.
Among all visitors to Hong Kong, overnight visitors accounted for 50%, with an average stay of 3.2 nights. Visitors to Hong Kong are generally satisfied, with a satisfaction score of 8.7 out of 10 for overnight visitors from January to May this year, with a revisit intention and recommendation rate of 94%.
